Welcome to Bonjour Brighton !french flag

My background/credentials

I am a qualified language teacher with a first class degree in French and German Education (University of Brighton)

I have 15 years’ experience of classroom teaching and 1-1 tuition (both state and private sector) teaching French to adults and teenagers

I am also a qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language (CELTA)

My most recent teaching position was at Sussex Downs College in Lewes where I worked for the international department and taught GCSE and A level French

What I can offer

Tintin

Expert tuition in French (GCSE, iGCSE, A level, International Baccalaureat, Common Entrance and Academic Scholarship)

Specialist and individualised help with controlled assessments (especially important at GCSE)

I teach mostly from home (I live in the Port Hall/Prestonville area) but can come to your home if preferred for a small additional charge

Reasonable prices (my basic rate is £28/hour)

Flexibility (in my experience, 45 min lessons can suit some younger learners better, so can allow for some flexibility concerning duration and frequency of lessons)

Availability (every day after school, some weekends, also some days)

What I believe

School children sit through so many language lessons but often lack the knowhow to use what they have learnt.  I really enjoy helping them piece it all together and giving them confidence so they can start to enjoy the language and achieve their potential.
